One of the family members of the late pioneer civilian governor of
Bayelsa State, Diepreye Solomon Alamieyeseigha, has published a photo
reflecting the former governor’s last moments of life at the University
of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital in Rivers State.
Ziworitin Alamieyeseigha, said to be the cousin of the late “Governor
General of Ijaw nation” took to his Facebook page to share a selfie photo he took with Alams dying on life support at the Port Harcourt teaching hospital.
Alamieyeseigha died in the teaching hospital, last Saturday, at the
age of 63, after a brief illness, which family sources said may not be
unconnected to the alleged recent request for his extradition by the UK.
The request it was said may have triggered the rise in blood pressure
which led to his death. However, the UK authorities have since denied
that it requested to extradite the late ex-governor.
